PM, President, Vice President Greet Indians on Ram Navami

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, President Pratibha Patil and Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansarui have greeted the citizens of India on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami on Sunday, which marks the birth of Lord Rama.

The PM said in a message that Ram Navami is a celebration of Lord Ram's belief and adherence to morality and righteousness amidst all difficulties.

"May this Ram Navami strengthen our resolve to lead a principled life, and bring joy and happiness to all", the Prime Minister said.

President Pratibha Patil wished the people on the occasion of Ram Navami through her message that reads, "On the festive occasion of Ram Navami, I offer my greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens. May this festival inspire all of us to serve humanity with dedication and devotion."

?Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansarui also greets the people on the occasion of Ram Navami.

May the life of Lord Rama inspire the mankind to uphold the highest moral and ethical values in life.
