Russian broker Finam to launch retail business in US

Russian?broker Finam will provide Russian retail clients with direct access to American securities and try to lure retail clients in the United States now that it has received full-scale status at the NASDAQ stock exchange.

Finam hopes that its comparatively low charges will bring success to its American division, WhoTrades Inc., which has set up and equipped an office in New York, according to Russian business daily Vedomosti.

Finam describes itself on its website as "Russia?s?number one?broker in terms of turnover on the Russian stock market".
